We’d love to welcome you to the brand-new Health Bloom at The Village in South Lakes — a gorgeous new space where you can find everything you need for clean, low-tox living.

And, of course, you’ll also find our Ma & Me healthy wholefood treats stocked in the freezer right at the front of the shop!

3 little things I do each morning

Over the years, I’ve learnt that looking after yourself doesn’t have to mean making huge changes overnight.

For me, it’s the little things I do consistently that help me start my day feeling grounded and ready.

1. Lemon water
I start my morning with warm lemon water. It’s a simple ritual that gets me hydrated and gives me a lovely fresh start to the day.

2. Vegetable juice
I love starting the day with fresh vegetable juice. It’s one of my favourite ways to get a good dose of wholefood goodness into my morning.

3. Rebounding or my vibration machine
A few minutes of movement first thing helps wake my body up. I love rebounding, and sometimes I use my vibration machine instead — especially on mornings when I don’t feel like doing much!

And one more thing I couldn’t leave out is gratitude.

Before I get caught up in the busyness of the day, I take a moment for a little gratitude prayer and It doesn’t have to be complicated

Just a few quiet minutes to appreciate being here, being healthy, my family, my home and all the little things we can so easily take for granted.

These are my little morning rituals, not a prescription for anyone else, just things that make me feel good and help me start my day with intention.

I have been sharing parts of my cancer journey in the hope it can help even just one person find hope and peace in the face of adversity

There are moments in life when everything can feel uncertain.

Moments when you’re frightened, exhausted and wondering what the future might hold.

I remember being there

But somewhere in the midst of all that fear, I found something I refused to let go of…

HOPE ❤️

Hope that I would see my children grow up
Hope that I would watch my grandchildren arrive

I didn’t know what the future held but none of us do.

I learned that when you can’t see the whole road ahead, you only need to take the next step

One day at a time ☝️

I don’t share my story because I believe everyone should make the same choices I did, our journeys are all different.

I share it because 17 years later, I’m still here

If you’re reading this from a dark, frightening place, I want you to know this…

Please don’t give up hope.

There is always another morning to wake up to, another sunset to watch, another laugh to share, another memory waiting to be made

Hold onto hope and never give up

My father in law use to always say “A winner never quits and a quitter never wins” and I have always remembered that saying deep in my soul, when their were times I felt like giving up, that quote would just pop into my mind 😂

Because sometimes hope is the little voice inside us that simply whispers to “keep going”

Wowza! What a busy few weeks/month it’s been in the Ma and Me kitchen.

Between shop orders and custom orders, we have been run off our feet.

Preparing one of my original cake recipes for the shop today, and that’s caramel swirl.
