Well, this is awkward...
For years we've been trying to convince people our animals produce premium grass-fed beef, lamb and goat. Turns out our biggest contribution to the local food scene might actually be poo. ๐ฉ๐
A big shout out to the lovely Sonia at The Gerbera Connection, who has somehow found a way to turn our manure into beautiful flowers. We raise the animals, they make things pretty.
That's local farming in a nutshell โ one farm's backside is another farm's business plan. ๐ผ ๐
Give their page a follow and show them some love. Their flowers smell a whole lot better than our contribution.
You can catch us all River Wharves Breakfast Collective on Saturday morning.

Today is all about prepping beds and spreading manure.
Truthfully, this is the one job that gives me a solid reality check and makes me feel like an actual farmer.
A huge thank you to the legends at Bush Lemon Farm for sharing some of their manure with me for the flower patch. Pretty special when the people you stand beside every week at the River Wharves Breakfast Collective, selling incredible local pasture-raised meat, are also helping grow the flowers that end up in your bunches.
Thatโs the beauty of local connections really. One farm helping another farm bloom!
