We're blown away and humbled by the response to Julian and Dianne receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Victorian Small Business Awards.

Monday's Facebook post reached more than 20,000 people and resulted in lots of interest from local media.

Julian's message to small business owners is pretty simple.

Located only 15 minutes from the 12 Apostles our farmgate café is open from 10am daily.

Come and visit us for a cheese tasting (like this group from the Philippines), a gin tasting, a coffee and toastie (using our milk and cheese) or sit down for a cheese platter and glass of wine.

While you're here you might be interested in our farm tours (for groups up to 6) or watch the cows being milked at 4pm daily.

Now this was NOT on our radar!

The Victorian Small Business Awards were held in Melbourne last week and featured four ministerial awards.

You wouldn't believe it but the Lifetime Achievement Award, which celebrates long‑standing contribution and enduring business success, went to 🥁🥁🥁 Julian and Dianne Benson!

Despite being dairy farmers for over 50 years, including the past 20 as cheesemakers, we still didn't see this coming.

Congratulations to the other award winners and here's to all of the small business owners out there getting up every morning, creating jobs and making our communities better places to live.

We're back at the Geelong City Market tomorrow (Saturday) from 9am to 2pm.

Julian's bringing our Bolte's Bonanza blue vein cheese, two Havarti-style cheeses (smoked and garlic) and both of our feta-style cheeses (Herb & Garlic and Chilli).

Julian's loading the van and making his way to Sovereign Hill for Heritage Harvest Weekend!

We're bringing six cheeses: our blue cheese, our brie, two types of Havarti-style cheese (smoked and garlic) and two feta-style cheeses (Herb & Garlic and Chilli).

PLUS we're bring our two gins:
🥃the "Simpson Sinner" - a single batch vapour infused gin from whey spirit (from our cows' milk) and steeped with locally grown pepper berry.
🥃 also featuring whey spirit, the "Rose Rhubellian" is infused with Juniper, Coriander, Rhubarb, Rose Petal.
