We’re expanding our little team.

We’re looking for a kind, enthusiastic and adaptable all-rounder who loves cheese, wine, good food and hospitality.

You’ll be joining a small team in a growing business where no two days are exactly the same. The role involves customer service in both hospitality and retail, preparing toasties and cheese boards, general kitchen and store duties, and fulfilment of online orders.

Friday Night Takeaway is back!

On the menu this week - our Vodka Pasta Bake with garlic bread, our signature side salad and panna cotta for two.

We’ll do all the prep - all you have to do it slide the pasta bake into the oven until golden brown and piping hot, finish the garlic bread in the oven, toss the salad and enjoy. Just as easy as takeaway but hot, fresh and homemade.

Pre-orders essential, order by 6pm Thursday and collect between 11am-6pm on Friday. Order via our website 💛

A beautiful Sunday afternoon hosting the loveliest Baby Shower in the winter sun.

We served sparkling wine and coconut margaritas on arrival with cheese, followed by a series of our signature snacks;

A beautiful Sunday afternoon hosting a Christening celebration on the verandah. The guests wandered over from the church down the road, to enjoy cheese and champagne followed by oysters and some of signature snacks while soaking up the last of the Autumn sun.

Blowing out the candles after our final Friday Night Dinner service before a little break for Winter.

A big thank you to our tiny team and to all of our Friday night regulars and guests - we love bringing in the weekend with you.

Dinner service will resume in Spring, and in the meantime Friday Night Takeaway will kick off next week 💛

Tomorrow night, 29 May, will be our final Friday Night Dinner service before we take a little break for Winter evenings and transition into Friday Night Takeaway throughout June, July and August.

Lunch service continues from noon Tuesday–Saturday all Winter long, and store trading hours remain unchanged.

For tomorrow evening, we still have a handful of tables available by the heaters on the verandah, along with limited space in the communal dining room. Bookings are essential.

Friday Night Dinners in-house will return in September - and until then, soup season will be in full swing 💛

Sweet potato coconut curry soup is on the menu, alongside wagyu cheddar toasties - the perfect rainy day lunch.

We’re expecting a quieter day on the verandah, which means there’ll be plenty of soup available for takeaway. Pop in or pre-order online - ready from noon 💛

Last night we had the pleasure of preparing a private dinner for a 40th birthday at a beautiful guest house in the Southern Highlands, for some lovely long time regulars of the store.

We started with a candle lit cocktail hour in the lounge, with our favourite snacks, spicy margaritas and cherry sodas for the little ones. We set the table for dinner by the fire and served oysters with a white balsamic mignonette, caramelised garlic brioche, chicken liver parfait, and crab vol au vents with caviar to start. Followed by handmade goat cheese tortellini and braised beef short ribs. Dessert was birthday cake with homemade ice cream.

Had a dream last night I was living in Tuscany. Woke up in Camden, and planned a Tuscan inspired menu for lunch this week.

End of another big weekend in the little shop.

I hope everyone had the most beautiful weekend celebrating and remembering their Mums.

In particular my incredible mother, and my beautiful team of mothers and daughters 💛

Together we pulled off a marathon week of our Mother’s Day gift stall and sale, a week of celebratory lunches and dinners, and a lavish party on Saturday night for good measure.

Tired but happy. Thanks for letting us be a little part of another special day 💛

Big thanks to everyone who popped past our Mother’s Day stall / Verandah Sale yesterday 💛

It was another great success thanks to your lovely support.

We have a tiny bit remaining from the sale which I’ll post tomorrow and is on a shelf in the shop until it’s gone - a few handblown glass jugs and vases, some pantry items, and a few odds and ends are all that’s left!

We’ll have a mini version of the Mother’s Day stall out on the verandah for the rest of the week - think , .lane.farm olive oil and skincare, cards, wrap and journals, a few lavender wheat packs, lovely beeswax candles and olive wood kitchen ware - all the nostalgia of the school Mother’s Day stall with a little epicure flair. The shop is filled with beautiful chocolates and cheese and the usual bits to make the perfect gift.

I’ll pop menus for the week on stories - Saturday is already looking busy for pre-Mother’s Day lunch, but we have space on Friday night and lunch across the week for an early treat. We’ll be closed on Sunday as usual.

There’s a small selection of pastries etc for pre-order online for Saturday - otherwise we welcome you to just drop in to find the little luxury just for her 💕

Our first Mother’s Day Gift Stall, alongside our annual Verandah Sale, starts tomorrow (Sunday 3 May) from 10am-2pm.

As always the sale is first in best dressed and typically things go quickly, but we’ll have plenty of gifts to go around if you’re planning a calmer afternoon visit.

We’re hosting our annual Verandah Sale in two weeks, alongside our first ever Mother’s Day Gift Stall 💕

A little update on the day to day in store as we settle into Autumn.

The store is open Tuesday - Saturday each week, with fresh bread delivered daily, and an ever changing collection of cheese, provisions and little luxuries coming in and out the doors.

Lunch is served each day from noon. The menu changes daily, but throughout Autumn you can expect a wholesome soup and salad each day, along with our signature cheese toasties, small plates and wine. Takeaway orders are welcome, and online pre-orders are available to help with efficiency in our tiny kitchen.

We serve dinner in house every Friday night - a set menu of small plates to share for 70pp accompanied by a wine and other lovely drinks. Bookings essential.

Friday Night Takeaway is back for the cooler months- the first menu drops tomorrow.

New dates are online now for Cheese & Wine tastings and we have a few spaces available for a session this Saturday night at 7pm x
