This came in the mail today, I am glad you kiddos got so much joy out of growing my plants. Just as Purple Patch is coming to an end, yes unfortunately I am closing the business.🥲

It’s been an amazing ride however physical limitations are forcing me to close. Thank you all so much for your ongoing support and Bunyip Community Market for being great hosts, keep up the great work.💜

Autumn is all most here, time to plant those yummy winter veggies, Purple Patch has a great range of brassicas and root veggies ready for new homes.💜

We will be at Longwarry Market this coming Sunday 2nd of March from 8am - 1pm. Come on down and stock up for the new season.

Purple Patch has been invited back to the inspiring permaculture garden “Darna” in Darnum on Saturday 25th of January. Our host Adele is a wealth of knowledge and is more than happy to answer the many questions you will have wondering around this magical garden.

It’s cabbage moth season again, this pest can decimate veggie patches almost overnight! I spend hours a week hand picking their eggs and larvae off my seedlings, but my humble lambs ear has offered a solution.

Stachys are an underrated ground cover with stunning soft grey foliage, producing spikes of tiny purple flowers. It attracts loads of ladybugs to the garden, eating machines when it comes pests like the cabbage moth. So I pruned off some spikes and released my soldiers their new home. Lambs Ear or Stachys are available at Purple Patch now: 6 inch pots $5.00💜

A big thanks to my master of irrigation Lyndal Susan for installing this awesome irrigation system. Consistent watering is one of the key factors for success in the patch and this is a game changer for Purple Patch. These guys for Creative Harvest Gippsland are growing at a rapid rate and now is the ultimate time for them to be planted. I’m happy to let some go before the event, as we may not be at Bunyip market this month, so please don’t hesitate to contact me if you want anything. A shout out to all who visited Purple Patch at Bunyip Community Market today. I was thrilled to see many return customers and lots of new faces too. We had a great day, thank you for your ongoing support and fantastic feedback.💜We will be participating in the Creative Harvest Gippsland weekend at a stunning permaculture garden in Darnum on Jan 25th, then back at Bunyip market on Jan 26th. A big one for Bunyip tomorrow! We are super excited to be a part of the day and look forward to seeing all those happy faces celebrating the festive season and supporting local.💜
