📦 Ever opened your Bello box and noticed something missing? No plastic, no shrink wrap, no little bags of this and that — just your veg sitting in there loose and happy, the way food’s meant to travel.
We pack pretty much everything straight into the box. The carrots cuddle up to the spuds, the apples nestle in next to the oranges. The only time you’ll find paper is for the delicate stuff — salad mix, soft fruit, anything that’d get damaged without a bit of protection. Even then, it’s a last resort, not a habit.
Less packaging means less waste, and a box that’s nicer to unpack. 🌱
And when you’re done — pop the box back out for us next time and we’ll take it round again. 🔁
Real food, very little rubbish.

New growers Deborah and Gary join our farmer family this week, farming organically as Murra Magic up near Murrurundi, just south of Tamworth. We’ve been wanting to connect with growers like these two for a while, and we’re glad it finally happened.
First up from their place — feijoas 🍈
Also known as pineapple guava and native to Brazil, the feijoa tastes like something caught between strawberry, pineapple, lemon, passionfruit and guava. High in Vitamin C too.
A few notes:
🍃 Touch picked from the tree or gathered from nets (not fallen to the ground), so they’ll keep longer
🍃 They ripen fast at room temp — ready to eat once slightly soft to the touch
🍃 Pop them in the fridge to stretch their freshness another week or two
🍃 Freeze well, with or without the skin
Alongside the feijoas, Deborah and Gary are sending us limes this week 🍈— and come summer, we’ll be getting their stone fruit, pears and apples too!!.

Unsure how to cook it?? 👇

🥄 Simple Roasted Cauliflower
Crispy outside, tender inside, ready in under 40 mins
✔️ Preheat oven to 200°C
✔️ Break your cauli into florets, toss in olive oil, salt, pepper + a pinch of cumin or smoked paprika
✔️ Spread on a baking tray — give them space so they roast, not steam
✔️ Roast 30–35 mins, turning halfway, until golden and caramelised at the edges
✔️ Squeeze over fresh lemon juice + scatter with fresh parsley to serve
Simple. And goes perfect as a side to anything.

🍲 We’re having chicken soup tonight.
Fresh batch of Oxhill Organic chicken just landed.

While our friends at The Patch take some time out to navigate a few production challenges, we’ve got an incredible farm stepping in: Oxhill Organic Farm, Wauchope — just down the coast near Port Macquarie, and four generations of doing things properly.
Their chooks are raised on organic feed, according to natural rhythms, certified organic from the ground up.

They’re back. And we’ve missed them. 🍅
After a rough run with the weather, tomatoes have finally returned — in the cherry variety.. and they are gorgeous this week. Sweet, vibrant, full of flavour. Other tomato varieties are still finding their footing, but we’re hopeful things will keep improving.
