A beautiful crisp sunny winters morning to meander around The Growers Market this morning. Our usual amazing stallholders will be there sharing their lovely products as well as a couple of new carboot stalls with bric a brac and secondhand clothes (and more!)

If you’re after a slow morning supporting local, head down to the Showgrounds and grab a delicious coffee from Lauren, the best Indonesian from Ziyah (the best!) and many other products and produce made and grown with care.

Market Update: We’re indoors this Saturday
with the grounds a little too soggy still, this week’s Growers Market will be tucked up warm and cosy inside the Main Pavilion near Black Street.

All your usual favourite stallholders will still be there bringing the beautiful local goodness you know and love … fresh produce, organic chicken, native plants, secondhand books, coffee, cacao, chai, handmade soap, delicious Indonesian food, pasties, fresh bread, honey, handmade goods and more.

We’re also excited to welcome two lovely new stalls:
✨ Belinda from Natural Energetics with a beautiful range of healing tools and offerings.
✨ Deborah bringing nourishing wholefood cooking, including delicious gluten free, dairy free and plant-based baked treats … all made with organic ingredients and looking absolutely incredible. Seasonal apples and pears too including fresh juice!

So come escape the wet weather if it’s still drizzling, support local, and enjoy a cosy morning connecting with community 💛

🐝 Did you know… bees are little mathematical geniuses?

Honeycomb cells are built in perfect hexagons … a shape that cleverly maximises storage space while using the least amount of wax possible. Even more incredible, despite the comb being so thin and delicate, a single honeycomb can hold up to 25 times its own weight!
Nature really is extraordinary ✨
You can learn more amazing bee facts … and pick up some beautiful local honey and beeswax goodies … at the Growers Market this Saturday.
Alongside our usual beautiful offerings:
🌱 Organic seedlings and native plants
🥕 Fresh local and organic produce
🐔 Organic chicken
🍛 Indonesian and Japanese cuisine
📚 Secondhand books
☕ Coffee, chai & cacao
🎶 Live music
…and more.

2026 Northbank Community Garden Member Drive

Community gardens are about so much more than growing food 🌱
They are spaces where knowledge is shared, friendships are formed, resilience is built and people reconnect to something slower and more meaningful.

The Northbank Community Garden holds such huge potential for our community. Not only as a place to grow beautiful organic food, but as a nourishing gathering space where people of all ages can learn, contribute, connect and belong.
In times where food security, community connection and local resilience matter more than ever, places like this become deeply important.

But for the garden to truly flourish and reach its full potential, it needs community support behind it … whether through time, skills, donations, or simply becoming a member.

Even small contributions help keep this space alive and growing 🌿
If you value:
local food resilience
community connection
education & shared knowledge
accessible green spaces
people coming together in meaningful ways
…please consider supporting the Northbank Community Garden.
Together we can help grow something really special for this town 💛
