Hi guys Dani here from the Bass general store. I'm Just letting everyone know that today I have handed in my licence for the post office and I am fully stepping away from the shop.
I understand it is frustrating not having a Post Office in bass and I am extremely appolggetic and I feel like I have let the town down but for personal reasons which I will not go into details as it's not for everyone to know I could no longer continue to be there and decided to do what was best for myself and my family. I hope you can all be understanding of this stressful situation as it hasn't been easy for us either. Unfortunately some things are out of our control Some things must come to an end as sad as it is.
At this stage Australia Post is still working on a solution unfortunately with compliance issues and certain criterias this will be a long process and at this stage there is no time frame on when there will be more updates. Phil and I know as little as everyone else and we can't give the answers you are looking for.
For now you can still go to San Remo post office and apply for a free mail redirection to any address or post office of your choosing to collect mail. Another option you could look into is purchasing a po Box.
As for the General store Phil is still there and open for business selling newspapers,bread,milk, meat,house hold essentials ect and I encourage you to still support him and the business if you can.
I would also love to thank all of you beautiful supportive customers and suppliers that I have seen walk through our doors over the past few years. I have appreciated and loved getting to know you all and I will miss seeing you on a regular basis and I hope to still see you around town from time to time.
