Hello new followers!!
We thought it was time to properly introduce ourselves to you. We are a small, family-run pork producer based in the beautiful Barossa Valley.
Gumshire was first started by Michael and Margaret, Whose passion and dedication laid the foundation for what we are today. Now, their son Shaun and daughter-in-law Amy + the mini apprentices are proud to be continuing that legacy, carrying on the same passion for pigs and commitment to quality.
We raise a range of breeds including Landrace, Large White, a small batch of Duroc, and our favourite Hampshire. We’re especially proud of the quality of our Hampshire pigs, which we supply to restaurants throughout the Barossa Valley, Adelaide, and Renmark, as well as at our Barossa Farmers Market stall.
We also work with a number of butchers across the Barossa, Clare, and Adelaide Hills regions, supplying our other premium pork breeds.
Alongside our pork production, we run a stud focused on producing top quality Landrace, Large White, Duroc, and Hampshire pigs for breeding. Due to strong demand for our genetics and the quality, performance, and appearance of our animals . we’ve established our own small AI centre and lab ( The Dairy)
We collect from our boars weekly and supply farms across Australia.
Working with TGE Transport, we can have genetics delivered within 24 hours of collection.
