Neurodivergent stallholders are encouraged to apply. Additional supports are available to facilitate participation. Yarrabah is a Specialist School, located in the bayside suburb of Aspendale, that caters for students with intellectual, physical and/or multiple disabilities, aged between 2.8 and 18 years. The market brings together the school and wider community in a fun, inclusive and accessible
space. On market day, you will meet volunteers, including former and current students and their parents/carers, staff with their friends and family, and members of the wider community, assisting on the entry table, Yarrabah BBQ and pop up shop. We value and appreciate this support and encourage others wanting to volunteer to get in touch. We are passionate about providing opportunities for people of all-abilities. Facilities include off-street parking; an all-ages, enclosed and partially shaded, playground; accessible toilets and grounds; undercover spaces; plenty of seating. The Yarrabah Community Market stallholders/vendors will include representation from some/all of the following groups and individuals:
• Stallholders selling quality new products
• Stallholders selling quality products they grow, bake, or create
• Not-for-profit groups and community organisations
• NDIS Micro-enterprise businesses run by individuals with disabilities
• Yarrabah School students, staff, and community members
• Face painting
Proceeds from the market will be used to enhance and improve school programs, fund the redevelopment of indoor and outdoor spaces, and be invested in the operation and improvement of the Yarrabah School Community Market.
