Beyond grateful for this special recognition ☺️

Congratulations to the team at Messines Farm on receiving the Australian Government Sustainable Agriculture Landcare Award at the 2026 Queensland Landcare Awards! This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of the dedication, collaboration and hard work that goes into demonstrating how farming and environmental care can work hand in hand.

🎉🏆 WE WON! 🏆🎉

We’re beyond excited to share that Messines Farm has won the Australian Government Sustainable Agriculture Landcare Award at the 2026 Queensland Landcare Awards! 🌱

For us, this recognition means so much.

“It was a really special day for our family and one of those moments where you stop and realise just how much work has gone into getting there.” — Kieran

A special shout-out to our family and the team at Natura Pacific, who are part of this journey. So much of what we do through Natura Pacific and Messines Farm is about making a practical difference and bringing conservation, farming, education and community together.

At Messines Farm, we believe agriculture and environmental care can go hand in hand. This award is a wonderful recognition of the work, collaboration and commitment that go into putting that belief into practice every day.

A big thank you to Qwalc, Landcare Australia, the award sponsors, and everyone who helped make the day so special.

✈️ And we’re not stopping here!
As the Queensland category representative, Messines Farm will progress to the 2027 National Landcare Awards in Adelaide in September 2027.

We’re looking forward to meeting the other finalists, sharing experiences and learning from each other.

A little more to love about your local honey 🐝

There's a whole lot happening on a farm before fruit makes it into your hands!

At Messines Farm, we're working to care for the wider landscape around our crops, including making space for our pollinators and insects.

Our Bee Friendly Farming journey is one part of that work.

Did you know...what might look like "just grass" in the laneway is actually part of how we manage our orchard? 🌱

We let different plants thrive in different parts of the orchard to create more diverse habitat and biodiversity across the farm, while building more resilient soil 🐝

We share the cover crops in action at the Messy Farm on YouTube! 👀

The farm girls have been busy getting ready for the upcoming harvest season! 🍑🌿

The Messy Farm team was lucky enough to catch the plum and apricot trees in bloom, with their beautiful flowers only sticking around for a few short weeks 🌸

Honestly, a little lost for words. The laneway looks fabulous and we're feeling extra grateful for the work we get to do at the farm and the incredible nature we get to be surrounded by!

These aren’t AI-generated images by the way! Just gorgeous, healthy trees and stunning shots, as always, by One Track Films 👏🏼
