I’m loving these little “about me” style posts I’m seeing lately… so here’s one for our choccy minis 👀

Fun fact: These took 8 months to get right.

And honestly? The hardest part was this question we get all the time:

“Why is there sugar in them?”

It’s a fair question.

For us, the mission has always been simple:
👉 get more veggies into kids’ bellies
👉 without the battles
👉 without the guilt

We tested everything to avoid added sugar.
Dates. Fruit. All the “better” options.

But here’s what kept happening… Kids (especially fussy ones) kept saying:
“these don’t taste like normal muffins.”

And that mattered.

Because we didn’t want this to be a “health food compromise”
We wanted it to be a no-brainer swap … something parents could trust their kids would actually eat.

So we asked a different question instead:
what’s the least sugar we can use… while still making these genuinely delicious?

Where we landed:
✨ 50% less sugar than regular choc muffins
🥦 Veggies as the #1 ingredient
🚫 Zero preservatives or nasties

And most importantly…
😋 Kids LOVE them

That’s the balance we’ll always chase.

“You’re a good mum.” 🤍

Even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.
Even when dinner is chaotic.
Even when you didn’t make everything from scratch.

Because the truth is…
the mums who worry about being “good enough”
already are.

We’ve been sold this idea that everything needs to be homemade to count and everything store bought is bad but thats really not true...

If you dont have the time or desire to cook you are not failing your kids. Home made is not automatically better.

In fact there are so many amazing companies out there making healthy options that choosing the easier option doesnt mean settling anymore.

So if you needed a sign today to also take a nap instead of working through toddle nap time — this is it:

You’re doing a great job. You are doing enough. You are a good mum 🫶

Most days building this mission with to get more veggies into kids is just hard yakka behind the scenes so its not often we look back and realize how far we have come.

So moments like this, they mean a lot...
