Bovril is a thick, salty paste made from meat extract. Its a bit like a yeast extract spread, such as Marmite or Vegemite. John Lawson
Johnston created Bovril in the 1870s.

You can mix Bovril with hot water to make a warm drink. It s also used to add flavor to soups or stews. Many people enjoy it as a spread on toast.
