What’s a coffee ☕️ worth today?
There’s so many factors to consider 🤔☕️🙌🏻😊
Let’s start with the beans 🫘☕️
Where are they sourced, how are they grown and what does the farmer get paid…
Who roasts them, we grind them and who serves them.
Is it a in house ( size does matter here 😉😅☕️)
Keep cups welcome ( thanks COVID for killing that way forward on the environmental change 😤)
Take away..
Is it a regular with a rewards scheme or do you pay the airport tax when flying?
Staffing and general overhead costs are increasing every year.
This is the minefield many small businesses navigate daily.
So when businesses seasonally adjust their prices to meet their ongoing demand (generally in forced by economic conditions and survival mode to stay afloat, while still doing business…)
What does their customer think?
Some are very understanding and agree with them and adjust accordingly, others look for another alternative.

So here’s our approach to it, after almost 7 years in business, we have limited our increase in our essentials ☕️
We have initiated the “Cafe Sopreso “ pay it forward approach for those who consider others who might need a random act of kindness .

Today inline with the removal of card surcharge ( which arose through COVID as we were all encouraged to ditch cash transactions for the safe tap n go approach…)
So today more than before we encourage you bring your keep cups, find the coins from the piggy bank, recycle ♻️ your drink bottles for their already paid for deposits.. pay forward for someone who needs a random act of love 🥰.

Sunday 11th October, get out and about in Strathalbyn & meet the Artists. 16 Artists will be participating in this great event & you all get the chance to vote for the public vote.
10:30-2:30 wander round and view the art unfold in front of you eyes.

With the spring signs all around us,
We’d love you to share the love 🥰 of our quaint village Strathalbyn & what better way to experience it than a family day out in the Park….feeding the babies 🦆🦆🦆🦆
As many will know bread and other human foods aren’t suitable for our wildlife.
So we provide duck food to assist making your day an interactive experience.

If you’re not a local and get to have the daily pleasure of walking through this beautiful gardens, why not consider a day trip up on the Highlander train from Mount Barker on a Sunday. 🚂

There’s plenty for all the family.

Remember it’s great for our mental health to slow down and just be with nature. 🥰🌻

When life throws you lemons 🍋🍋🍋🍋🧂🍃
Firstly 🥰🥰🥰
I am so greatful for all the messages and love over the last week as I was taken out of action by seasonal sickness,this means a lot to me ❤️
As a food business and close contact sales this decision was made both for my own health and to reduce the impact on my treasured customers. As this season virus is lingering and not a 24hr illness.

In small business this decision is hard, weighing up financial decisions and yes it definitely sets us all back.

There are junctions in our lives that we have to make decisions……do I turn left or right..🤔$/❤️
Neither are necessarily right or wrong just different outcomes.
Small businesses are constantly trying to find the balance between these choices.
Being closed the weekend of our annual Antique and Vintage fair with perfect weather conditions definitely was hard to stay away from, however returning to work early and then sharing the seasonal bugs wasn’t an option.
We care about our locals,regulars and new customers equally.
We want everyone to have our full attention and healthy smiles 🥰
I’m very grateful for my beautiful wife Sarah and Manu for our brief dispatch of breads Wednesday as it was an unexpected closure and delivery was already on its way. ( logistics of ordering)

We have thankfully set up our deliveries for returning this Wednesday 19/8

Clara’s bread, Craters crumpets and Clara’s pastries 🥐 .Wednesday
Nomad farm chickens 🐔 will be restocked late Wednesday 🥩 beef lines too
