Candy Cane Cookies for the Holidays! 🧑🎄🍭
Ingredients:
-250 grams all-purpose flour.
-60 grams icing sugar.
-120 grams unsalted cold butter.
-1 Egg.
-Pinch of salt.
- Red food colour.
Method:
-Place the flour, icing sugar and salt in a bowl of your food processor and mix. Next add very cold butter cut into small cubes. Mix until you get the mixture that resembles breadcrumbs.
-Add the whisked egg and mix until the dough starts to come together.
-Divide the dough into 2 equal portions. Add red food colouring to one. Wrap both coloured doughs in cling film and refrigerate for 30 mins.
-Roll out the dough into finger length and criss cross them as shown in the video.
-Roll the dough in sugar and bake for 10-12 mins at 180 Celsius.
