NEWS | Mayor John Dalipe led the city's response to Tetuan warehouse blast victims, by giving them food packs and assistance.
The mayor tasked the City Social Welfare and Development Office to look into the needs of families of those who were killed in the blast and the City Health Office to assist in the medical needs of those injured.
In his page, Mayor John Dalipe says that he will continue to assist victims and residents affected by the explosion of a firecracker warehouse in Barangay Tetuan.
"...Mayor John Dalipe delivered food packs to residents along Marquez Drive who could not leave their houses due to the ongoing investigation and operations to clear the area of explosives." Mayor John's statement on his official Facebook account.
Five persons including children were killed while 21 others were injured at the said blast on Saturday, 29 June 2024. The blast also destroyed structures nearby and has affected power lines in the area.
The fire reached first alarm at 4:16 PM and second alarm at 4:24 PM. It was declared under control at 5:26 PM.
