Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant hapus pawb! We are back after a short break and proud to say that last year Ffestiniog Veg Box generated almost £10 000 of income for small Welsh growers and businesses. We bought £1918.47 of produce direct from Free Range Foods in Penegoes, £6,610 of produce from small, family run Welsh wholesaler Watson and Pratt’s in Lampeter and over £610 of bread from the Model Bakery in Blaenau. Your weekly veg box order is not only a fantastic way to reduce food miles, packaging and support organic agriculture, it is also a great way to support small businesses and create resilience in the local community. People often ask us about the benefits of switching from supermarket bought veg to an organic veg box. To demonstrate the benefits, here's the founder of Ffestiniog Veg Box, our own Amy Karamian, lifting the Efenechtyd Feat Stone in Ruthin. She is the first woman to do so!

This 46kg stone is light work for Amy, who had her second baby via emergency c-section just one year ago. For those without such physical barriers, the benefits of high quality, organic veg are even more pronounced. Indeed, a healthy, adult male on a diet of organic fruit and veg would have simply picked up the stone with one hand, and eaten it.

SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE!!

We’ve finally managed to sort you all out with a little fermentation course here at Foxglove 😀

The fantastic Kees van Woerkom who runs the AMAZING Literary Cat Books in Machynlleth will be showing y’all his fermenting techniques and recipes on Sunday 15th October (introduction to fermentation) and Sunday 12th November (Christmas fermentation 🎅🏽) from 3.30pm till 6.30pm.

£50 per person which includes the course, all veg, fermentation jar and a recipe booklet for you to take home and salt the shizzle out of everything 😀

Spaces are strictly limited to 10 people on these nights so getting in there early is advised.
