The Elder Lights Journal Project — an Interview with Josh Kruis
Have a look at the Alchemical Child interview with Joshua Kruis of H**p in Action about his latest crowd-funded project, the Elder Lights Journal. This is an amazing way to honor the elders in our lives and preserve their legacy for generations to come.
As he puts it:
"Our culture today kind of pushes anything that’s old to the side, and is always looking for something, new, new, new, and I think we’re kind of out of balance because we don’t have that connection to our roots."
The process of building this process has led to tremendous growth in his own life. Particularly, it has brought him closer to his own grandmother.
"This process with the journal has kind of helped me bring that into balance, where I respect my grandmother for her beliefs and her commitment to those beliefs, and I recognize that a lot of those beliefs and those teachings have helped me be a stronger, healthier person."

Warm up with some H**p’n kraut patties.
2/3 cup Saurkrout
1 egg
1/4 cup h**p hearts
1/4 cup of oat flour or flour of choice.
1/4 cup Nutracleanse - contains psyllium husk and ground flax that helps bind patties together.
2 Tblsp oil
1/4 tsp pepper
Fry in Coconut oil.
Serve on garden of greens.

H**p power-players lobby Congress to shift mind-set, legalize crop
2018 could be the year of H**p!
“Our whole point here, the message we’ve got to get to Congress is (h**p is) an agricultural commodity, but not a controlled substance,” said Jonathan Miller, a Lexington, Ky.-based attorney who serves as the U.S. H**p Roundtable’s general counsel.
It’s an argument that has been made in the past to little avail, but Miller’s group is brimming with optimism about this iteration. He said H.R. 3530’s list of co-sponsors is growing — 30 Congress members have signed on as of Oct. 10; the measure is benefiting from “broad ideological support”; and it’s gained the backing of prominent agriculture groups such as the National Farmers Union and the American Farm Bureau Federation.
“All of the political cards are, right now, in our favor,” he said.
The U.S. H**p Roundtable, an alliance of national trade groups and businesses, seeks to hammer home message that industrial h**p should be an agricultural commodity, not a controlled substance.
