Another cake on the books. I bake cakes in my free time for the joy of it. I love to try new techniques each time I make a cake. I tried palette knife decorating this time. My cake didn’t quite come how I wanted it to, but it was fun to make! I struggled with the colors. First photo is the cake I made. The second photo was my inspiration. 🎈🎁🎉🎂🎊

❣️Classic Sugar Donuts 🍩❣️
Give it a try!
Full video recipe https://youtu.be/esRonHDGfqU
Ingredients:
600 grams all purpose flour
260 grams full milk or water
2 large eggs
11 grams instant dry yeast
100 grams butter or margarin
40 grams fine sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 grams vanilla sugar
Sugar Mixture (for coating)
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
8 grams vanilla sugar
Recipe by My Cooking Addiction❣️
How to make:
1. Combine warm milk or warm water (110 Degrees), instant yeast, and a tablespoon of sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir until combined. Set aside in a warm place for at least 5-10 minutes until foamy and bubbly.
2. In a separate bowl add the flour, sugar, and salt. Whisk until combined.
3. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture and pour in eggs, warm milk, softened butter, and the yeast mixture. Mix over low speed using an electric mixer with dough hook attachment until a soft dough forms. You can also mix it by hand or use a bread machine if you have one.
4. Lightly flour a surface. Place the dough on the surface, and knead it for 10-15 minutes until a soft dough forms. Make it into a ball. Place it in an oiled bowl, cover with a plastic wrap, place it in a warm place, and let it rise for at least an hour.
5. After an hour, punch the dough to let air escape. Place it on a floured surface.
6. Using a rolling pin, roll it out about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out 4 inch diameter circles using a donut cutter. If you don’t have a donut cutter, you can use a wide mouth jar and small cup for the donut holes.
7. Cover the cut out donuts with plastic wrap or a damped cloth, and let them rise for at least 30 minutes.
8. Heat vegetable oil in a pan or deep fryer. When the temperature reaches about 350 degrees, turn the heat down to medium low.
9. Carefully place the donuts in and fry for at least 2 minutes on each side. The frying time will depend on the size of the donuts, usually the small ones take 3 minutes in total.
10.When the donuts are nicely golden brown, remove from the pan and set aside on wire wrack or a platter lined with paper towels.
11. Dredge each donuts in a bowl of cinnamon sugar.
Serve and Enjoy!
