We're rapidly approaching the very last market of the year in Jesmond this Saturday for our committed bunch of Local Heroes NE traders.

Once again we're asking you to dig deep and show your support at what has been one of the most difficult trading periods due to poor weather and cancellations.

Unfortunately, this Saturday is no different with high winds anticipated.

We're just not willing to cancel given our commitment to seeing these businesses thrive and your cupboards full of local, North East produce.

So, to avoid disappointment, we'll be hosting the market in two locations.

Due to the appalling weather forecasts and the danger posed by high winds, we are reluctantly rescheduling this Saturday's Jesmond Food Market

Whilst we've done everything in out power to ensure the market goes ahead, we have fallen short in finding a suitable solution such as an indoor venue that worked for all of our businesses.

With luck on our side, we hope to bring our community of traders back to Armstrong Bridge NEXT SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER 🤞

My name is Yasmin, and I am an Egyptian mother and wife with a profound love for cooking and crafting delicious, nutritious recipes. I embarked on my business journey 12 years ago, starting small and slowly as a means to combat depression. With the unwavering support of my wonderful friends and husband, I initially focused on making cupcakes and cakes that everyone adored.

A few years down the line, I expanded my offerings to include catering for Middle Eastern and Egyptian cuisine, taking careful, measured steps along the way. As time passed, I became increasingly aware of our dietary choices and their impact on the planet. My exploration into the connection between food and global warming inspired me to adopt a vegan lifestyle in 2018, which transformed my perspective. Since then, I have devoted myself to creating vegan recipes that are not only healthy and nutritious but also environmentally friendly.

As my catering business flourished, I began conducting cooking classes and participating in markets and pop-up events. My dream has always been to establish a space where I can share my wholesome, eco-conscious recipes and offer cooking classes— a place where customers feel like family and friends, can gather, unwind, and enjoy delicious food along with meaningful conversations. I aspire for my café to be a safe and inviting haven for all, providing not just exceptional food but also a sense of community and belonging.
