Please see below for a statement from SEDC Executive Director Tonya Dowse regarding the closure of the Roseburg Forest Products W**d Veneer Plant:

"The Siskiyou Economic Development Council is deeply saddened to learn of Roseburg’s decision to close the W**d veneer plant. We’ve supported this facility for many years, and we know this news will have real impacts on local families, workers, and our economy.

Roseburg has been a long-standing employer and partner in our region, shaping Siskiyou County’s economic landscape for generations. Its closure marks a significant shift for the communities it has served.

Our team is working closely with county and city leadership to support our community through this transition. Our priority is ensuring that local needs remain front and center. While this is a challenging moment, we are confident in the strength and resilience of Siskiyou County—and in the new opportunities that can emerge as we move forward together.

We’ll continue to share updates and resources as they become available."
