My middle daughter and I had a great time at the Newago Farmer’s Market yesterday! Even with the rain and cooler temps, folks still came out and it was so good to talk to both vendors and those coming by! Ramona - the FM Coordinator, made a delicious lunch for us vendors in honor of the opening day! My daughter and I took lots of notes so we can keep getting better and better at selling our goods and crafts. But what we both talked about the most on the way home - how good it was to talk to people “in-person” and getting to know our community better. I hope everyone made it through that storm during the night ok!

Come see us at the Newago Farmer’s Market until 5:30 today! Down at Brook’s Park in downtown Newago! We have fresh baked goods made with freshly milled flour as well as Bridgette’s books and Addi’s plush toys!

What a great opportunity this was! So thankful for all those involved in putting this together and to those who stopped by!

We look forward to continuing to showcase our oldest two girls’ products starting this Friday from 2-5:30 at Brook’s Park in downtown Newago at the Newago Farmer’s Market!

Our oldest two girls had their first vendor show this evening! Many thanks to all those who put all the time and effort and money to coordinate and bring about this event for young entrepreneurs! We look forward to making more connections next Friday at the first Newaygo Farmers Market of the summer!

Thankful to the men and women who gave of themselves to protect our great country!

Also thankful for the delicious hamburger, brats and Trevor’s potato salad from Millie’s Farm Market to go with our dinner which included homemade hamburger and hot dog buns made with freshly milled flour!

Soooo thankful!!! Today we picked up this beast from some super nice folks who shared a lot of great advice too!!
So excited to up our game on baked goods! Making hotdog and hamburger bun dough with freshly milled flour for supper tonight! What would have taken 30 mins to knead by hand (ask me how I know 😅), it now takes 8 mins! Comment below on name suggestions for this beauty of a beast!

Exciting new things going on our homestead! Today, Miller Liquidators and Store Fixtures delivered Commercial Freezer (great guys!!) that will hold our frozen pork and chicken to sell. We also are just about done with our first or two “hoop coops” so we can keep all of our chickens on pasture/wooded area but still safe from all the predators. (Though our dog, Nilla, is doing a fantastic job of keeping our livestock and us safe). So thankful for God’s blessings and getting to be alive!

Locals! We have paperback copies of Bridgette’s book available now! She will also be selling them at the Newago Youth Entrepreneurship Market next Thursday (May 28th) from 5:30 to 7:00 and at the Farmer’s Market in Newago on Fridays and in July, at the Big Rapids Farmer’s Market on Saturdays!
