Reminder we have 2 upcoming classes next week at the market.

Monday October 19th at 3pm sourdough bread making class. Cost $25 per person (2 spots left) come and learn from start to finish how to care for your starter and make a loaf of delicious bread! You will go home with a starter and my bread recipe. At class you will get a chance to sample some sourdough treats!

Friday October 23rd goatmilk soap making class. Cost $45 per person (includes going home with 6 bars of soap, a mold and my basic recipe!) What to expect? Come and WATCH the process of making cold process goat milk soap. Due to the caustic nature of lye it's not as hands on as other classes. You are welcomed to ask questions and take pictures of any products used :) (8 spots still available)

See a class you want to attend but need a specific date and time? I am happy to offer private group bread and soap classes, with a minimum group number of 5.

Whats up at the Rod Farm Market this weekend?

We are open our regular hours, take advantage of us being open till 7pm on Thursdays and Fridays!!!

Saturdays 9-2pm

I will honor my same meat sale this week (buy 1 pack of burgers get a pack of pork chops 15% off) plus if you buy either a pack of burgers, sirloin steak, or pork chops all beef roasts will be 10% off. We need to make room for our cow we just got processed!

The baked goods table is going to be a touch lighter also because my freezer is FULL of baked goods from the last few weeks, we are offering frozen desserts as Buy one get one free and all sourdough breads in the freezer will be $2 off the marked price! We have mixed berry and strawberry rhubarb pies in the freezer, cupcakes, coffee cakes, pumpkin breads, banana nut breads cookies, and more.

For fresh baked goods, the orange cranberry bread was a hit last weekend so I made 3 more loaves, I also made spiced zucchini applesauce bread *with farm fresh apples from local trees*, sourdough blueberry buckle coffee cake, sourdough cinnamon rolls, sourdough chocolate chip cookies, dutch apple pie and slices made from my home raised organic mac intosh apples! I will also have pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies per the poll request!

My vendors are fully stocked with lots of great hand made, quality items. We will have the fridge stocked with fresh farm eggs.

Reminder we have 2 upcoming classes next week and there is room to still join, Monday October 19th at 3pm for a sourdough class and Friday October 23rd for goatmilk soap making. Message me for details on the classes!

We love baking Fresh breads and desserts for our customers, BUT this week is clean out the freezer to make room for the cow we ordered to have processed. As many if you know whatever baked goods that do not sell I put in the freezer and mark down. There is nothing wrong with these items, just thaw and reheat if desired and enjoy! So all of Delightful Desserts in the freezer: cupcakes, cookies, coffee cakes, quick breads and pies are Buy one Get one free! And any of my sourdough breads will be $2 off the marked price. Did you know freezing sourdough bread actually lowers the sugars in the bread making it more friendly for those who need to watch their blood sugar levels?

I will have a small variety of fresh baked goods also but not of items that we have an abundance of already in the freezer.

We are ALWAYS happy to take custom orders if we are given a few days heads up.

Reminder we have a couple upcoming classes:

Monday October 19th at 3pm we are having a sourdough class and I only have a couple spots left ($25) you will learn from start to finish how to make sourdough bread, and go home with a starter and my recipe! You will get to sample some sourdough treats too!

Friday October 23rd. 6:30pm. Soap making class ($45) come and learn the process of making basic cold process goat milk soap. This is not super hands on due to thr caustic nature of lye. You will get to see, take pictures of products and brands used, and ask questions. You will go home with my basic recipe, a mold and 6 (3.5 oz) bars of soap! I still have several openings for this class!

Thank you to those who came in to support our petting zoo this weekend! We are taking the proceeds from the petting zoo and your generous donations in our donation jar to give back in our community to Mendota Area Senior Services. We heard they have lost much needed funding! They do a lot of good in our community helping the seniors to get around and get the things they need and more. We are happy to be able to donate a little over $60 to them this week. Thank you!

Its that time of day, baked goods are discounted. $1 off anything on the table and $2 off any baked goods in the freezer. We are here till 2pm! I still have sourdough bread, cookies, cupcakes, pumpkin breads, banana breads, coffee cake slices, and cinnamon rolls!
