Environmentally Friendly Green Carts Serving Locally Grown, Organic Produce

The DC Fresh Pilot Project is sponsored by the DC Department of Health and operated by Daddy's Corner. The goal of the project is to increase access to healthy foods in designated food desert neighborhoods in Wards 5, 7 and 8 through a community-based fresh produce mobile cart enterprise. By using a mobile cart venue, the project intends to address the many barriers faced by the residents in accessing healthy foods.
