We have gotten a lot of criticism for the Market not taking off and being open every weekend as planned...
I would just like to let everyone know that we have tried very hard to get this going, we have called, messaged, and emailed farmers and vendors with little to no responses. We offer advertising, 10x12 spaces, electric, insurance, and even cover vendors sales tax with the city of Houston!! We have adjusted our hours and our fees (which are extremely reasonable!) at the request of vendors who never contacted us again afterwards...
Without vendors there is no Market! If every vendor waits to see if other vendors try it out, there will be no Market! The Market Manager can only do so much and our system only works if vendors work with us!
