Our Story
Just really good salsa’s name came from @ the time my 2 year old Daughter. We were on the table experimenting and tasting, finally after numerous attempts of cooking, adding this and that we found it. Nevaeh say’s Dada that’s Just really good I said what the salsa? she replied yes, It’s Just Really Good Salsa.
For the logo I wanted it simple yet to the fresh ingredients. The weaved basket is part of our heritage and many other design’s can be found on display at the Heard museum and as well as our Cultural center on our Reservation. Chemehuevi that is.
I started this and I’m going to finish it. The first year was hard, getting turned down by Farmers markets all over Phoenix and surrounding areas mainly because “they don’t want to saturate with salsa”. I sold 8 cases to our store on the reservation and it sold out. I had customers calling me from all over Southern California for some more. 2nd year I went to work for an undisclosed employer to learn the ropes of getting salsa into retail giant’s, But I had to sign a 2 year non-compete waiver/contract. That 2 years is now up.
Here as I sit I’m excited to move forward. Will be back to continue our story.
