Nature has a pretty impressive color palette. 🍅

These little heirloom beauties look more like a bowl of marbles than tomatoes: reds, golds, greens, purples, stripes, and shades somewhere in between.

And that’s part of the fun of growing beyond the grocery store varieties. Tomatoes don’t have to be perfectly round and perfectly red. Different varieties bring their own colors, shapes, textures, and most importantly, flavors to the table.

Almost too pretty to eat.

Almost. 💚

Today's harvest!

If it weren't a zillion degrees outside, this week's harvest would be begging to become a big pot of homemade soup. 🥕🧅🥔

Instead, let's let summer win.

This week's harvest boxes are packed with carrots, onions, potatoes, celery, green beans, spicy arugula, and plenty of fresh herbs.

Here are a few warm-weather ideas:
🌿 A chilled potato salad loaded with pesto and green beans
🥕 A crunchy garden slaw with carrots, arugula, and herbs
🔥 Blistered beans with garlic and lemon
🥗 A "clean out the garden" salad with whatever's fresh

At The Patch, seasonal eating is all about following what's growing.

What's the first thing you'd make?

Sound on for this one!

There are some things a photo just can't capture...

Like the sound of a head of lettuce picked seconds before the first bite. 🥬💚

No dressing.
No chopping.
No plate required.

Just a little farm boy, a head of lettuce, and the kind of freshness you can actually hear.

If that crunch doesn't convince you to eat local, we don't know what will.

Grown for flavor and freshness, always.

Garden Battles: Deer Edition 🦌

Walked the garden rows this week following little hoof prints straight to the crime scene…

The beets.

Or more specifically:
the beet greens buffet apparently opened overnight.

The deer didn’t just snack, they uprooted entire plants to get the tender tops. Which meant there were two choices:

Let them keep the reservation
Harvest everything early and salvage what we could

So this week became an emergency beet harvest 😅

Part of growing food naturally means sharing the garden with creatures who also seem to think the produce is delicious. Sometimes a little too delicious.

The good news?
The beets still made it into harvest boxes.
The bad news?
The deer clearly have excellent taste.

To be continued… 🌿

Sunday Funday… but make it garden-grown 🌿🍅

This NA Bloody Mary situation includes:

peppery purple radishes
punchy pickled cucamelons
lovage as the straw (because celery was feeling uninspired)

Toma Bloody Mary mix is the move, and if you're feeling spicy, opt for the horseradish version.

Swipe to see the garden-to-glass lineup. 👀

This spinach…💚

When the leaves are bigger than your face, you know it’s having a moment.

Tender, buttery, and almost too good to cook. Perfect for wraps, salads, or just grabbing a leaf straight from the bunch (no judgment).

This is what early season abundance looks like.

👉 Harvest Packs available (limited).
