On his 10th birthday, SydGen Enhance was laid to rest beside the other SydGen legends V D A R New Trend 315 and S A F Fame about 100 yards east of the SydGen sale barn where he was born and later sold as a 10 month old calf as a featured top seller in 2015.
With semen and A.I. Certificate sales that exceed $4,760,000 and a significant inventory still on hand for his ongoing use, SydGen Enhance was twice the American Angus Association leader of progeny registered in 2020 and 2021 and he ranked Number 3 in 2022 while remaining among the top 25 sires for 2023 and among the top 45 in 2024.
The ORIgen NUMBER 1 sales revenue leader from 2019 through 2021, his 19,486 progeny registered at his passing make SydGen Enhance the ORIgen all-time leader for progeny registered by a sire that spent his entire semen producing career in the ORIgen marketing system. And as he approached his 10th birthday, SydGen Enhance remained among the top 10 sires in 2024 for both gross dollars from semen sales and units sold by the joint marketing program of ORIgen and ABS.
SydGen Enhance caught the imagination of many with his multi-trait excellence that was documented when the $Combined value index was introduced, and his semen and progeny sales soared with both sons and daughters topping sales across the continent and around the world.
With 19,467 progeny birth records in the AHIR system to earn him a .98 accuracy level only achieved by 57 highly proven sires that are truly a “Who’s Who” of the Angus breed, at 10 years of age SydGen Enhance still records the NUMBER 1 $Combined value index of that elite highly proven sort. SydGen Enhance is also a significant contributor to the IGS database of American Simmental Association and to the BreedPlan database of the Angus Society of Australia and his influence on the international beef industry will continue for years to come.
This prolific semen producer who holds the record for the number of 40 million cell semen straws produced in one day at ORIgen leaves a substantial bank of frozen semen, despite his wide-spread international use in Artificial Insemination and his last natural-sired calves are being born this spring.
