Most people automatically think of grilling when they plan to cook a steak. How many still use a cast iron skillet? These New York Strip steaks were a breakfast treat for Noah Hughs, who enjoyed it immensely . The best part was I didn’t have to step outside in the cold temps to cook! What do you think?

Which appliance does it better? The trusty traditional Crockpot, or the trendy newcomer, the InstaPot?
For decades, I thought roasts (along with any “low and slow” meats) could be cooked only in the oven or the Crockpot. Then I had a day where I FORGOT to start the roast in a timely manner. In desperation I searched for, and found, a recipe for cooking the beef in the InstaPot. In a fraction of the time a slow cooker would take, I had the meat cooked, shredded and served! I may have to expand my recipe collection to include more dishes like this!
What about you? What small appliances do you turn to regularly to cook family meals?
