In addition to growing produce and selling eggs, another aspect of cornerstone farm is growing our own hay. Not only does this allow us to guarantee quality feed for our animals, the sale of additional hay helps offset the costs of running the farm. Timing is very important when growing hay. It needs just the right amount of time to fully dry once it is cut before it gets baled. That is what we have been up to this week on the farm. Due to the age of our equipment, there is a lot of prayer and thanksgiving to God as we see the baler drop off bales in the field.

We are setup and looking forward to seeing everyone this morning at Smithfield Farmers Market. The cantaloupe are amazing this week and some fresh zucchini bread to go with your morning coffee. Stop on by. We are at the Smithfield Center again this week.

We missed being away from market last weekend, but we are excited to be back this weekend at Smithfield Farmers Market inside the Smithfield Center. We will be located on the back deck. We have more amazing tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, peppers and watermelons. Of course we will have the jam and pickles too!!

We look forward to seeing everyone at Smithfield Farmers Market tomorrow. We will have more chemical free produce from our farm. Also, July is when we start taking orders for our pasture raised turkeys for thanksgiving. Stop by and talk to us to learn more. Limited supply, so secure your thanksgiving turkey before they sell out.

Here’s a quick peak of what is growing in the garden. We look forward to being at Smithfield Farmers Market tomorrow. Stop by and say hello and pick up your local, chemical free produce, pickles and jam. We should have zucchini bread again too.

Cornerstone Farm is excited to be at the Smithfield Farmers Market tomorrow. We will be bringing with us vine ripened tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash and much more. We have more jams and pickles we have prepared. No chemicals on our farm. All natural. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

No market today due to the extreme heat. We will miss seeing you all, but will be back next week at Smithfield farmers market. Stay cool, stay hydrated and stay safe.
