Since Mother’s Day, my mom’s birthday, and my husband’s birthday… I’ve definitely gone a little off the rails with eating 😅 lots of meals out, desserts, and a few drinky drinks.
Normally, periods like this would send me into a full spiral where one “off” week turns into months of regressing and struggling to get back on track. But this time feels different.
Instead of aiming for 80/20, it’s probably been more like 50/50 or 60/40 lately, and honestly, that’s okay. I was nervous to step on the scale after seeing it jump up 5 pounds and feeling extra bloated this week (+ Mother Nature 🫠), but I know it’s not 5 pounds of fat overnight.
I’m learning that balance also means knowing when it’s time to reel it back in, nourish my body, and move forward without shame. Starting with a good home cooked meal 🤍
