I put the sprinkler on once a week to help with bird health on the homestead ~ we’re dealing with a stubborn drought here in San Antonio that doesn’t just affect humans. I hope this video adds a little happiness to your day

Look what I found this morning ~ a hibiscus flower. I brought in some plants a couple of weeks ago and placed them under some grow lights. Our plants are a little sad looking but…our hibiscus created a bloom. Inspirational. Life and beauty can grow just about anywhere ~ we just have to provide care and attention. I’m thankful we have electricity today to help keep us warm on this cold day. I have frozen sliced sourdough sandwich bread in my freezer in a freezer ziplock bag ~ it’s delicious when toasted. I had a slice of toast with jam and a cup of coffee earlier today. I hope you have a day of warmth and plenty of fresh bread. Peace be with you all

It was a productive week here on the homestead and farmstead. Cleared some land to grow carrots last Monday and Tuesday ~ I hope to offer some to my customers.
I also baked and sold bread, herbs, and a few eggs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I hope everyone stays warm on this chilly Saturday~ and as always I wish you peace and plenty of tasty fresh bread🌸

Happy New Year everyone. Greetings 2026. I’m beginning the year working in the gardens~ waking the gardens up with compost and chicken fertilizers. Healthy well fed soil will produce healthy food. Bake week begins January 12 and ends January 16 at 5:45pm. Please put in your orders ASAP.

Greetings everyone. I’m running this event again to bring awareness to St Jude. And to ask for donations for children who are currently facing cancer. My goal is to raise $250.00. As always I wish you peace and plenty of fresh bread🌸

Our weather out here in San Antonio has been wild. A lot of thunder, lightning, flooding, and strong winds. Plenty of work out here on the homestead and farmstead. Here’s a few pictures of sourdough bread I baked for customers last week. This week I’ll spend most of my time making repairs on the acreage. May your week be full of love, peace, and fresh bread.
