Breakfast & Sunrise

Putting out hay for the mama cows this morning 🌅 🌱

Rolling hay out has a couple of advantages:
1)It gives the babies something warm to bed down in when the cold winter nights hit.

2)As the cows eat, it spreads manure up and down the length of the rolled out hay rather than in one big circle around an unrolled bale. This spreads fertilizer and keeps from “bogging” up the ground in one area.
