A quick message to everyone that participated or shopped and loved the Racine Farmers market. The market will not be opening this year but not because of mismanagement or tough rules. It’s for two reasons only, Foxconn and a worldwide pandemic. When Foxconn bought up most family farms in Racine county, we lost several anchor produce farms. With the pandemic this last year and a half-the rest of the farmers found they could make just as much money with their own roadside stands. They chose to do that again this year. We had locked in a beautiful location for the market this year, we just couldn’t attract enough quality vendors. Our hope is that in the next year, we can re-organize and possibly do something in 2022. Don’t count us out yet! We were Racine’s original farmers market and we believe we can bring it back. Please be patient. In the meantime there’s no shortage of markets in our area. We hope you will support them!
