We’ve been getting eggs from our recently purchased adult quail, but Cody found our first egg from our home-hatched quail tonight! Cody and I are very proud quail parents tonight! 🥰

This is such a scary concept. And it’s happening. Right now!

This will become a domino effect, and it will become very scary. All store bought meat will eventually become LAB grown. Butcher bought meat will become over priced due to demand. Live cattle sales will become scarce and, again, overpriced. It’s also happening to our store bought milk!

I’m so glad we were able to start our homestead before this became the overwhelming truth of our reality. My family will become fully self sufficient, and this is driving point!

Honestly though, I never imagined I’d be this person- AND take so much enjoyment in it! Yesterday I made two loaves, and the first loaf lasted a whole 5 minutes and I had to keep an eye on the second to make sure my kids weren’t digging into it! I can’t even look at store bought bread the same.

Starting to really enjoy learning how to make bread. Yesterday I tried my first loaf of Potato Bread, and made two more this morning. Some lessons were learned in the process, but I couldn’t be happier with the overall results. 👩‍🍳🍞
