Unexpected overnight snow storm made for a really cold day today. Snow was supposed to stay north of us. Someone forgot to tell mother nature. Oh well. Only an inch or so total and was melting off by the afternoon. The new 4 ton heat pump system we installed last month is working great so far. Knocked our electric bill down over a hundred dollars for the month. Should start seeing even bigger savings on the electric bill over the next few months. I still need to replace that 125 gallon electric water heater with an on demand gas fired system. That's going to have to wait for a little bit. One thing at a time getting done around here. They are calling for warmer temperatures over the next week. I hope so. Have lots of outdoor jobs needing finished up. Ive been working on extending my patio roof and want to get started framing my outdoor kitchen. Need this cold weather to be over, so I can start planting my garden for the spring.

Made some Ragin' Cajun Seafood Pasta for dinner tonight. Shrimp. Salmon and Crab w/ Sautéed Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Fresh Tomatoes, Black Olives, Baby Spinach and Green Onions. In a Spicy Cajun Cream Sauce. Was Deeeliccccciouussss...

It's going to be a good day for a big bowl of soup. Tonight's dinner is going to be homemade Ham and Bean Soup served with Jalapeño Cheddar Corn Bread. I cook a lot of different soups. They freeze well for future meals.

Its been cold, windy and rainy all this week so I haven't managed to do much outside. Have had to make a few trips over to Huntsville for some appointments also. That takes up most of a day to do. So I've been cooking a lot instead. Stocking up the freezers with meals. Last night I was in the mood for some soul. Made some Fried Chicken. Greens with Smoked Pork. Mac & Cheese, and Fried Okra. Forgot to take a picture, but everyone said it was all delicious. Weather is clearing up this week, but it's still chilly outside. I don't mind the cooler weather. Just don't like working in the rain. My friend is coming out this weekend to start building our barn/shed to store all the tools and materials. Maybe clear out some more trees and brush.

Cold and windy this morning. Looking out at the pond. Checking on the new fence after all the storms yesterday. Going up to around 65⁰ and sunny later today.

It's a rainy morning on the farm today. We have most of our new fencing up this week. Still have a lot more to do. I have to build and install all the gates and add privacy fence off both sides of the house and the Shop/Garage facing the road. The dogs are happy now, because they are off the leashes and running free.
