So we have had a very interesting situation arise here on the Homestead that at first I was worried about, but it actually turned out to be really cute and adorable and good information to have for the future!
The hutch with the baby bunnies is a two bay hutch and the mother‘s sister is on the other side of the wall. Well, there is a slight crack in the wall in the back, and the babies have decided that it’s fun to go through it and visit Auntie. 😂 At first I was very worried because rabbits can be extremely territorial and also aggressive to babies especially ones that aren’t theirs, but Sweet Strawberry actually seems to like them visiting, she licks them, lets them hang out with her, snuggles them, lets them eat with her and doesn’t even get annoyed if they investigate her underside. 😂 Pretty soon they won’t be able to fit through anymore, but for now since she doesn’t care I’m not gonna fix it because the auntie visits are just too cute! 🥰 It’s good to know for the future that she is caring of babies that aren’t hers in case I ever need a foster mamma!
