Coastal Birds Project at Maine Audubon will have a table to educate our communities about the coastal birds that nest on Maine’s beaches during the summer. We have a good amount of Piping Plovers nesting on the beaches near Kennebunk, let’s help protect them✨

🌿Abby’s Apothecary is a small holistic wellness business based in Wells, Maine specializing in herbal remedies, botanical skincare, teas, tinctures, body oils, salves, and CBD wellness products. Every item is handcrafted in small batches using thoughtfully sourced ingredients, organic herbs, and a strong focus on clean, plant-based wellness. Inspired by herbal traditions, nature, and community care, the business blends modern wellness with apothecary-style crafting to create products that support everyday self-care naturally.

🌿I started Abby’s Apothecary in 2023 after years of struggling with my own health and wanting cleaner, more natural products that actually supported the body instead of just masking symptoms. What began as making herbal remedies, teas, and skincare for myself and family quickly grew into a passion for helping others feel their best naturally. Every product is handcrafted in small batches in Wells, Maine using intentional, high-quality ingredients.

🌿One of the most unique products I offer is my handcrafted herbal tincture line, especially my specialty blends for sleep, pain support, and cognitive support. I also create botanical skincare and Cannabinoid products that combine herbalism with holistic wellness in a way that feels both effective and magical.

🌿The most rewarding part is hearing customer stories and knowing something I created genuinely helped someone feel better, sleep better, relax, or feel more confident in their skin. I love being able to connect directly with the community and create products with care, intention, and purpose. I love helping the pets too!

Starting this week, you can sign up for a free Maine Senior FarmShare at our farmers’ market! We participate in the farmers’ market version of the program, where income-eligible seniors can sign up in person at the Info Booth. Then, you’ll get an envelope with $50 in vouchers to spend with any vendor in our market on fresh fruits, vegetables, cut herbs, or honey. All you have to do is be a Maine resident, meet the 2026 income guidelines (below), and be 60 or older (55 or older if you’re Native American).

Eligibility is based on income, not assets, so most retired folks in Maine qualify:
The annual household gross income is at or below the amount listed beside household size:
1 person household: $29,526
2 person household: $40,034
3 person household: $50,542
4 person household: $61,050
5 person household: $71,558
6 person household: $82,066

We apologize for making a late call on this decision however a few hours ago the National weather service updated increasing the forecast winds to a sustained 20-30mph with gusts up to 55mph. This forecast has not changed since.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for you however our vendor and customer safety is of paramount importance.

Vendor Highlight: Tom from Pingree Maple Prodcuts

🍁Located in Cornish, Family business since 1969!
🍁 No pesticides, no chemicals, we added honey bees for pollination for our raspberries. Raspberries will be for sale too.
🍁 Made in the spring and held in 5 & 15 gallon storage containers, Syrup is reheated to 190 degrees, density is rechecked and bottled into glass and plastic bottles for sale.
🍁 We use a wood fired arch to make maple syrup
🍁 Once opened, refrigerate maple syrup. Unopened maple syrup can be stored in a cool area or placed in the freezer
🍁Most unique product: Granulated maple sugar & maple cream
🍁 After many days of tapping trees and walking many miles in the woods, seeing full tanks of maple sap is the most satisfying!
🍁 When we started making syrup in 1969, we used only buckets to collect the maple sap. Today we use only food grade tubing; some sap lines are 3/16” which create natural vacuum and some lines are under mechanical vacuum. We added reverse osmosis which takes out 50% of the water in the maple sap in one pass, this cuts down on our boiling time and the amount of wood we consume.  
🍁 Maple syrup & maple sugar can be substituted for granulated sugar in many recipes. When using maple syrup simply cut back on other liquids, when using maple sugar usually if a recipe calls for a cup of sugar only 2/3 cup of maple sugar is needed. Check your recipe for suggestions when substituting maple for granulated sugar.
