Our first hatch is underway!

5 out of 8 eggs have pipped! 2 of which were an experiment to see if refrigerated eggs would also be viable, and so far 1 of them is working their way out.

Meet the Owners 👋🏻

We’re Trenton and Kelsey and we own the hobby farm that supplies our excess produce to the Farmstand!

Here’s a little about us:
🦍 Trenton was born and raised in Texas before joining the Army. Following injuries he sustained on deployment, he was retired out and moved our little family 800 miles north. Now that he is out of the service, Trenton is finishing up the coursework needed to become a licensed teacher in MI! If you enjoy anything history, cars, or sports you’ll quickly become friends!

🦝 Kelsey’s family are a long-time NB family (happen to know any Seaman or Schanks?), but for 14 years she lived down south where her and Trenton met. After competing degrees in homeland security and intelligence operations, Kelsey has been working with community impact organizations to provide emergency response and resources to those impacted by disaster.

🏡 We have fur, feather, and human children running around and unfinished projects amuck with no intentions of slowing down. (Who moves to the country to slow down anyways?) We love being outside and volunteering with different organizations in the area. We’re also still kind of new here and would love to make some more friends!

What started out in 2018 with a little garden box and a dream, has grown into our first homestead where we are back surrounded by family and learning how to be a little more self sufficient; one project at a time.

We started with a box of strawberries and a peach tree in our little yard while stationed at Fort Bragg, NC (Liberty Bibberty to the locals). For five years we planned and dreamed up our little farm and started waiting.

After Trent’s retirement from the Army, we made the move back up to my hometown in North Branch, MI and found our dream in real life.

It was meant to be. I stepped out of the car and knew. I actually told Trenton I didn’t even need to go inside, we were home ♥️

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Peck & Petal! We are a veteran and female owned local farm and produce stand in North Branch, MI. We will be offering pop-up sales of produce, florals, goods, and eggs.

Our sale days will be on a pop-up basis, so follow and turn on page notifications to stay updated on sale dates and items available!

Specialty items available will include:
🥕Garden produce: fruits, vegetables, and herbs
🌸Potted and Cut Florals: peony, sunflower, zinnia, phlox, rose, hosta, iris, and poppy
🥚Eggs: fresh chicken and quail eggs, u-hatch coturnix quail eggs
🍪Baked Goods: breads, cookies, and muffins
