Twenty pounds of sugar and flour, almost 100 eggs, countless cups of oatmeal, chocolate chips, powdered sugar, man yesterday was a movie! THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who came out to the Rochdale Fall Festival! With the exception of a few bags of sugar cookies, we SOLD OUT!
I can't even begin to form the words to express my gratitude, but I'll try by starting with my brother Brian (I better see you in your Dee's Sweet Treats t-shirt next year!), my besties Wilbur who schlepped it from the ass end of Brooklyn at an ungodly hour, Leslie who came all the way from Virginia to show me love and put in hard work, and my ace Lisa who came for the afternoon shift and helped shut things down like a boss! Honorary mentions to my first timers Gina (who braved the Jersey Turnpike with her crew) and Wanda who brought my beautiful niece to share the day, and then became part of the cleanup crew!
The festival is like a great big family reunion. You get to see folks you haven't seen in a while and you catch up until the next time. The fact that I get to share my treats in the process is icing on the cake!
Until next time be good, stay safe, and keep it sweet! Love y'all, for real.
