More Local Food on Local Plates! 🥩

SCVFA Farmer Member Mike Miles of Anathoth farm sent over 864 pounds of pasture raised beef to ! Thanks to a local food purchasing grant farmer Mike gets paid well and the recipients of this beef will receive a high quality and nutrient-dense product.

That’s the thing about local food - you can always taste the difference! 🥒🥕🥦

Thanks to the food bank for picking up at Van Meter’s in Luck, WI where Mike had his beef processed.

Let’s do market bingo, seed art and learn from 8 different farmers. Also is bringing lambs!! 😍🐑

This Wednesday we’re teaming up with to celebrate the farm-to-school connection. Because nutrition is important for our local youth - and all of us!

New Richmond High School has made local-sourcing a priority in their menu planning and will be working with SCVFA Farmer Members this year.

Join this free event on Wednesday from 4:00-6:00!

We’ll have delicious local food from .wi and learn from SCVFA Farmer Members .homestead .

The 6th Annual Farm Crawl in Osceola, WI is next Saturday May 9th!

There are nine farms included in this tour and 3 of them happen to be SCVFA Farmer Members who practice climate-friendly farming to care for the land. Check out the map through the QR code.

This is a great opportunity to meet the folks who grow your food and check out what their operations look like! We’ll be joined by Partner Members .wi at and we can’t wait to see you there!

In times like these (and always!) supporting local is *so* important. We’re watching prices go up everywhere - just when we thought they couldn’t go any higher.

One thing that is within our control is supporting local food - this inherently protects the health and longevity of our community.

We’re talking big picture here - water, air, soil, wildlife, and of course, US, the people who are greatly impacted when these parts of our ecosystem are not supported. 💧🦉🏞️🦦
