🐔💗 FRIDAY MORNING DIVA DRAMA! 💗🐔

Well, y’all… just when I thought these feathered freeloaders were getting their act together! 🙄😂

First came Vegas Stripping Season (aka molting), when the Divas decided to drop their feathers faster than a showgirl on the Strip! 💃🐔

Then, after weeks of growing their fabulous new feather wardrobes, egg production FINALLY started picking back up! 🥚🙌

And just like that… Mother Nature had other plans! 🤦‍♀️

🍂 Shorter days. Less daylight. Fewer eggs.

Apparently, the Divas took one look at the fall daylight schedule and decided they were entitled to shorter working hours, too!

💅 New wardrobes? Fabulous!
🥚 Egg production? Questionable.
⏰ Work ethic? Apparently seasonal.

But here’s the thing… it’s all part of the natural process, and around here, we let our Divas have their process. 💗

No, we don’t add supplemental lighting to encourage more egg production. We let Mother Nature set the schedule and give our girls the seasonal break their bodies need.

Is it frustrating sometimes? Absolutely! Especially when I’d love nothing more than to keep that little egg stand overflowing!

But everybody deserves a little downtime… even a bunch of spoiled, feathered freeloaders who have never paid a bill in their lives! 😂🐔

So we’ll keep loving them, feeding them, and patiently collecting whatever eggs they decide to bless us with.

Farm-fresh eggs are restocked every Saturday morning by 9 AM and available 𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗟 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗢𝗨𝗧! Once they’re gone, it’s back to waiting on the Divas until the following Saturday! Apparently, nobody told these girls they’re running a business! 🤣

ALL our farm-fresh eggs are 𝗨𝗡𝗪𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗗, preserving their natural protective coating called the bloom.

🌸 𝗦𝗼𝘆-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲: Hens are fed a diet without soy ingredients.

🐣 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿: Hens are fed traditional poultry feed that may contain soy.

Both are farm-fresh! The difference is what the hens eat, not the freshness of the eggs. Soy-free describes the feed, not an allergen-free guarantee.

🍞 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗘𝗚𝗚𝗦!

Well, y’all… apparently regular chicken eggs weren’t BIG enough for this little roadside stand anymore! 🤣

Thanks to our guest coop, Rustic Roost Homestead, we’ve officially welcomed GOOSE EGGS to the Crazy Chicken Lady lineup! 🪿🥚

Let’s talk about these oversized beauties!

🥚 SIZE MATTERS! One goose egg can equal approximately 3–4 chicken eggs, depending on size!

💪 PROTEIN POWERHOUSE! One goose egg packs approximately 20 grams of protein — roughly THREE times the protein of a large chicken egg!

🐔💗 MONDAY MORNING FROM ONE TIRED BUT VERY THANKFUL CRAZY CHICKEN LADY! 💗🐔

Y’all… WHAT A WEEKEND! 🤪🥚

I’m tired. The Divas are probably tired of hearing me talk about eggs. And the Crazy Chicken Daddy has officially witnessed just how fast this little side hustle has grown! 😂

But seriously, I want to take a minute to say THANK YOU! ❤️

📸 Take a look at where it all started — August 30, 2024!

One little wooden roadside stand, one refrigerator, a handful of eggs, and a Crazy Chicken Lady who thought it would be fun to share some farm-fresh eggs with her neighbors.

I NEVER imagined what this little stand would become!

And I have to give the Crazy Chicken Daddy and our son Price some credit. ❤️ When that first little stand wasn’t enough anymore, they took my dream of a bigger roadside stand and built the beautiful one we have today. Having my husband and son help turn my little dream into reality makes it that much more special!

Fast forward to now, and we’ve got more refrigerators, wonderful guest coops helping us keep up with egg demand, Texas-made jams and goodies, fresh sourdough breads and treats from our local baker, and a growing community that continues to show up and support this crazy little adventure!

And y’all… some weekends I can barely keep up! This weekend was definitely one of them! 😂

I won’t lie. It breaks my heart a little when people drive all the way out here only to find the eggs have already flown the coop. I wish I had enough for every single one of you!

But please know that every visit, every purchase, every recommendation, every follow, and every kind word means more than you realize. ❤️

What started as a fun little side hustle has grown into something I never expected. Some days it’s a little overwhelming, some days it’s downright exhausting, but I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT! 🥹💗
