What are microgreens?
A micro-green is even smaller than a seedling vegetable. At less than 14 days old these babies have more nutrients than the adult leaf or vegetable. Micro-green is really an umbrella term for a bunch of different kinds of tiny greens. These greens are harvested just when their first true set of leaves come out. Packed with vitamins and nutrients you can incorporate them into your daily diet easily to increase your vegetable count with ease. Pretty amazing for such a tiny thing. These really are one of the best super-foods. Each Micro-green type, like sunflowers or broccoli, has different nutrients in them. At Eden Microgreens we add trace minerals to the soil, Coco Coir and H**p mediums to add even more of a nutritious benefit. They also have a unique flavor so be sure to try more than one. Where radish can be spicy the pea can be sweet. Some are more earthy and others are tangier. They aren't just for world-class chefs anymore.
