GMO Cookies Cold Cure LHR by Grow Sciences:
Smell and consistency: Immediate funk that fills the room just by opening the jar. Sharp garlic notes, with a greasy smell that lingers in the air. Similar in aroma to Sour San Souci, but maintains that unique GMO odor. Cold cure, something that GS sometimes stumbles with is not an issue. Beautiful terps pool through the crevices, and a sugary, and wet consistency makes application a breeze. It is slightly chunkier to handle, but still very malleable and sticky. Most of the points go to the beautiful preservation of smell. I’m really liking GS take a chance on cold cures and they knock this out the park. 9/10
Flavor: Immediate GMO blast of garlic, mushrooms, and a funky grease, just like the smell. Like biting into a greasy grilled cheese with mushroom, the taste is unmistakable. Slight spicy notes. The dab envelops the mouth with a lingering, pungent, and greasy aftertaste. I really enjoy this strain, and want to emphasize how the greasy texture comes across through the dab. Relative to previous iterations I've tried, this is slightly more muted in comparison, but does not sour on the backend. Still a good representation of GMO Cookies. I was left reasonably satisfied flavor wise. Medium amount of residue, but easy to clean. 2-3 Q-tipper with the Peak Pro and 3D. 8/10
Effects: Grow Sciences always excels in this department. Immediate heaviness behind the eyes. Very long duration. 1.5-2 hours from 2-3 smaller dabs. My tolerance is lower, so effects are always subjective. Great, sedating strain for the end of the day troubles. Wish it locked me to the couch more, but still a great cold cure run. However, once I started a movie, my eyes were glued to the screen. Makes vegging out too much fun. Good for pairing with other strains, like my test dab of melted strawberries. Solid for pain relief and end of the day sedation. 8/10
Overall: Great run of Cold Cure from GS. Purchased from Sticky using the 40% off. At this price, value and uniqueness are strong selling points. Was hoping for just a bit more flavor, but awesome nonetheless. 8/10
