Mustaches. Market info. Selfies. Song lyrics. Bread. Nuthin’ left to do but smile, smile, smile. See y’all this weekend Oct 24 & 25, and not next weekend Lexington Farmers' Market because I need to seriously boogie down and I cannot bake for market and boogie in the same day. And I sure as s**t cannot bake, boogie til midnight and wake at 5am the next day to get to market… that’s just life in your 40s.

Dear followers, dog lovers, farmer’s almanac havers & wooly worm readers, tell me what these wooly worms mean? As far as I can tell they’re just giving mixed signals, which is pretty on brand for this time of year in Kentucky. It’s gonna be cold this weekend, but who cares? It’s going to be 85° today! As a baker, temperatures & weather patterns matter from the moment I start scooping flour to the moment you get your goodies home. I love to bake in the heat, and bread and things prefer a nice dark mid70’s room temp, but i’m always prepared to take care of what I bake no matter the weather til it’s in your hands and inform you how to take care of it from there so you get your money’s worth. I don’t like leftovers and I aim to sellout by Noon on Sundays. You can count on that part every single weekend, no matter what. So please order, start stocking up. We only have 2 more full weekends before it’s just Saturdays for us, as we won’t be at market 10/31 & 11/1. I’m baking the Usual Suspects, but maybe less if nobody orders. no danish this weekend, cinnamon rolls instead. Holler at me! See y’all Lexington Farmers' Market

Covid schmovid… we’ll know more about that on Saturday, I guess. But, until then, Hannah is in charge! She’s gonna bake cookies, danish and yeast rolls and be Lexington Farmers' Market on Saturday ONLY from 8am-Noon. No Sunday market for us. First come first serve on everything and if Aunt Brenda finds out that any of you made life hard for our sweet Hannah, well that’s on YOU… I’d rather burn in hell, with covid, than cross Aunt Brenda.

yep. covid ruins everything, every time! we won’t be Lexington Farmers' Market this Saturday & Sunday (10/10 & 11) y’all get it, i’m sure. while i feel okay & tested negative last night, it’s still way too early to know for sure. and by the time i’m supposed to be out in public i may very well test positive. i care deeply about other people’s safety and don’t want to expose anyone. I will do my best to contact everyone that has an order for this weekend and work out other plans. If anyone knows a Connie J that is around my mother’s age that loves my cinnamon rolls and doesn’t have instagram or facebook, tell her for me! She ordered a 6pack for this Saturday and I have absolutely no way to get ahold of her! I do know her full last name but she’s not on the internet, likely for a reason, so holler at me if you think you know what the J stands for.

big huge THANK YOU to all y’all that purchased neighbor loaves! 214 loaves of Big Boss Man Sammich Bread (100% whole wheat flour, honey, water, salt & yeast) are going out to our neighbors tomorrow, thanks to YOU and These loaves were baked by me because y’all bought them at our booth or signed up for weekly or monthly neighbor loaf subscriptions from our website. Fyi, we’re doing over a loaf per day, a little over 500 a year. While we’ve been doing this for 6+ years, starting because of/during the pandemic, the need for these donated loaves hasn’t diminished and they’re always met with excitement and gratitude from Leandra and her crew We can’t wait to help y’all share more delicious & nutritious bread with our neighbors.
