Xitrous Xitrous is a multifaceted school of good food, fun, learning, and so much more.

Xitrous is about passion. Passion for flavor, passion for learning, passion for taste. Spring 2016 will be the launch of this passionate adventure for us. We will be selling delicious, decadent, baked goods at several local Farmers' Markets in the Loudoun County area. We use only seasonal, local, organic fruits, vegetables, and meat. We grind our own spices, process our fruits and vegetables and prepare our food with passion and love. We want to share our passion for real food for real people.

Erika reserved 2 classes for herself and her husband, Eric, to celebrate his birthday. We combined Knife Skills with making a Chinese Style Stir Fry, Chicken Parmigiana, and Bananas Foster topping for his surprise birthday cake.
Had SO MUCH FUN!!!
They left with a gallon sized bag of cut up vegetables for their own stir fry at home, pans of Chicken Parmigiana and a Happy Birthday Cake gift from the chef (me)

As those of you who know me well. Tomorrow is the day. I am headed to the west coast for my baking adventure.

One week in Seattle, Washington. Will see my dear friend, Chris Bath. She and I taught together in Germany 30 + years ago.
Then to the King Arthur Baking School for Artisan Breads and Laminating classes.

Flying to San Francisco to meet up with my other dear friend, Mindy Pharris. She and I will explore the city, taking sourdough bread baking classes and visit wineries. You know I'll be eating my way through that city.

A drive along the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to Los Angeles should show me the true beauty of the Pacific Coast.

Last leg of the trip will be a train to San Diego to spend a few days with my lovely sister-in-law, Susan Green.

I can't explain the elation, nervousness, and excitement all rolled into this trip.

Will try to post photos and information about each day's adventures.
