There is something about old foundations that speaks.
Structures may change.
Time may pass.
Seasons come and go.
But the foundation always tells the story of what stood there before.
This past season required me to step back, listen, and rebuild things in a way that felt true to the heart behind Imari Eats.
Not everything in life moves in straight lines. Sometimes you have to pause, reflect, and remember where it all started before you move forward again.
Food has always been more than food in my life.
It has been connection.
It has been memory.
It has been the language my family speaks best.
Some of my earliest lessons about flavor did not come from a cookbook. They came from watching, tasting, listening, and learning from people who cared deeply about what came out of their kitchen.
Those moments stay with you.
They shape how you create.
They shape what you build.
They shape the pride you take in every recipe and every blend.
Over time, you realize that some of the greatest influences in your life were never meant to be loud. They were steady. Present. Consistent. Quietly shaping the way you see the world.
Without even realizing it, those influences become part of the foundation you build on.
As I prepared for this next chapter, the date for the return of Imari Eats kept appearing in front of me.
April 11.
I chose it without thinking too much about it at first. But when the meaning behind the date finally settled in, I realized something.
Some things come full circle exactly when they are supposed to.
So we begin again.
Imari Eats Spice Blends returns April 11.
Same heart.
Stronger vision.
A deeper appreciation for the foundation that made it possible.
Stay close.
