Late night post of appreciation! Tara and I were woken up to banging at our front door and a light shining in through our bedroom window. It took a few seconds to realize it was the police so we went downstairs and we were met at the front door by an officer from Conewago Township Police Department. He asked if I was Blake and the owner of Fish & Friends. Naturally my mind immediately goes to “the store’s on fire”, so I nervously confirmed who I was. He proceeds to tell me that he got a call from an officer at Penn Township Police Department that one of our back doors was unlocked. I head out to the store and find two police vehicles by my back door waiting for me. The one officer walks with me to the door and tells me that they didn’t have any contact information for me in their system so he actually tracked me down through Facebook and then they were able to use my name to find our address in their system. It’s very reassuring to know that the officers in Penn Township are making it a point to look after the businesses in their jurisdiction. There’s been several occasions where we’ll have a late night fish shipment and there will be an officer parked in the parking lot just keeping a presence in the Grandview Plaza. To now learn that they are not only checking our doors to make sure they’re locked, but then are willing to go out of their way to track down a business owner so they can come out and secure their business is truly amazing. I unfortunately didn’t get either officer’s name, but I just want to say thank you so much for caring about the businesses in our community! We appreciate you!!!
