🚨 New Four-Legged Bread Wagon Farm Employee Alert 🚨

Everyone, meet Tony Bones. 🫏

Our newest donkey addition arrived from auction late last night and while we don’t know much about the life he’s lived, it’s clear life hasn’t always been kind to him. This sweet boy is young, gentle, and currently looks like he may have hit the Ozempic a little too hard. I’m not entirely sure, but if this wind keeps up today, I may need to tie him to a fence post so he doesn’t blow into the next county. 🌬️😂

Jokes aside, this poor guy is skin and bones, but he’s safe now. He’ll never have to wonder where his next meal is coming from again. Around here, he’ll have good food, good care, donkey friends, and a whole lot of love.

Welcome to the farm, Tony Bones. ❤️

We can’t wait to watch this skinny little fellow fill out, gain some confidence, and become the handsome donkey he was always meant to be. Follow along as we help this sweet boy write a much happier next chapter.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday!

After much debate, deep soul-searching, and absolutely zero adult supervision, I have an update:

❌ No cinnamon rolls were made.
✅ The yard work got done.
✅ The weeds were reminded who’s boss.
✅ The mulch was spread.
✅ Another mini donkey was secured.

So while there will be no fresh cinnamon roll photos to share, there is now one more tiny hoofed financial decision to wander the farm.

Some people spend their weekends meal prepping. Some people catch up on laundry. Apparently, I collect miniature donkeys and call it a retirement plan.

The house looks better, the farm got bigger, and my husband has stopped asking questions. He loves me I swear.

I regret nothing.

Good morning and happy Saturday, Bread Wagon friends!

I’m facing a serious adulting dilemma today and could use some guidance.

Option 1: Be a responsible homeowner. Finish the yard work, spread mulch, spray weeds, and attempt to revive what is rapidly becoming a historical landmark known as “The Abandoned Neglected House.”

Option 2: Spend the entire day in the kitchen and declare tomorrow Cinnamon Roll Sunday. No sourdough. No artisan bread. Just me, butter, cinnamon, and poor life choices. Then roll the wagon out tomorrow loaded with cinnamon rolls and zero regrets.

Option 3: Drive to a mini donkey auction and absolutely, positively, definitely NOT buy another donkey.

Please note that Option 3 is a trap. We all know how these stories end.

My brain says yard work.
My bakery heart says cinnamon rolls.
My farm heart says, “You know what would solve all your problems? Another donkey.”

Cast your votes below. If I come home with a donkey, I blame all of you. If I spend 12 hours making cinnamon rolls, I also blame all of you. If I choose yard work… well, let’s be honest, nobody believes that’s going to happen. 😂🐴🍞🌱

Thank you all for another SOLD OUT Bread Wagon day!

Twenty-eight loaves of bread disappeared in a little under four hours… well, technically twenty-seven. One loaf was gifted to our school bus driver for the last day of school because Lord knows what she puts up with on that bus every day. She earned every crumb.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this little home baker’s dream come true. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that a wagon, some flour, a sourdough starter, and a whole lot of late nights would turn into this. What started as “maybe I’ll bake a few extra loaves” somehow became this incredible community, and I am beyond grateful.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by today, shared a smile, bought bread, eggs, treats, and especially to those who left notes on the Shared Bread Board. Reading your messages is quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of wagon day. The kindness and generosity in this community never cease to amaze me.

I even got to stop and chat with a few of you while I was headed out to deliver dog treats to The Market at Long Green. Those conversations are one of the best parts of this journey. You’re no longer just customers—you’re neighbors, friends, and part of the story.

Now if you’ll excuse me, this home baker is going to enjoy a few hours where nobody needs bread, cookies, or cinnamon rolls from her.

🚨 Final Afternoon Bread Wagon Update 🚨

Well folks, the sourdough has officially left the building. Every last loaf has found a home, and honestly, I’m starting to think y’all have some sort of sourdough tracking device.

What’s left standing after today’s feeding frenzy:

🍞 1 lonely loaf of Cinnamon Chip Artisan Bread
🍪 1 pack of Chocolate Mint Cookies clinging to hope
🥣 Cereal Treats are still hanging in there and wondering why nobody has adopted them yet

At this point, the wagon looks less like a bakery and more like the clearance aisle after Black Friday.

If you’ve been thinking about stopping by, now would be an excellent time before the remaining items disappear into the wild.

As always, thank you for supporting this little bread wagon adventure. You all continue to amaze me (and keep me baking far more than any sane person probably should).

🚨 Bread Wagon Update: The people have spoken… and apparently they really wanted cinnamon rolls. 🚨

After roughly one hour on the road, the cinnamon rolls have officially vanished into the wild. Gone. Sold out. Not even a crumb left behind.

Cookies are hanging by a thread and may not survive much longer, so if you’ve been eyeing those, now is the time to make your move.

In the name of all things blueberry… 🍋🫐

Apparently, when I ordered 4 lemons, the grocery delivery gods heard 4 FOUR-POUND BAGS of lemons. That’s not a typo. That’s a citrus intervention.

So naturally, I did what any reasonable baker would do: panic for approximately 12 seconds and then start baking.

If you’ve noticed a theme this week, you’re not imagining things. Blueberry lemon is showing up everywhere. Bread? Maybe. Cookies? Possibly. My dreams? Definitely.

The good news is that all those accidental lemons have turned into some pretty delicious treats, and I can’t wait for you all to try them!

The Bread Wagon is planning to roll out around noon tomorrow, God willing and the creek don’t rise.

Come grab some goodies, support local farms, shop small, and help me make a dent in what appears to be the state’s emergency lemon reserve. 🍋😂
