🌱🧄 **WHAT A DAY AT THIS OLD BARN!** 🧅🚜

Today was one of those days when you look back at everything that got accomplished and realize just how much can happen when good people come together!

With the help of **Si, Nolan, Dan, Patti, Tricia #1, and Tricia #2**, we were able to get **over 2,000 garlic and onion sets planted!** 🌱 That's a whole lot of future harvest going into the ground!

But we didn't stop there! 💪

✅ Rolled out landscape fabric over two more planting beds.

✅ Installed all the landscape fabric for the greenhouse floor.

✅ Squared off and prepared the ground so we can start setting posts for our **first 30' x 100' greenhouse tomorrow after church!** 🏡

Things are really starting to move along here at This Old Barn, and it's exciting to see everything coming together as we work toward growing even more fresh produce for our customers!

A special thank-you to **Tricia from Dollies Farm** for jumping right in and helping us get all those garlic and onion sets planted. We appreciate you taking the time to lend a hand! ❤️

And we can't forget Tim! Just when we thought the day was winding down, he showed up at the last minute to help load the leftover landscape fabric into the truck. Even at the end of a long day, an extra set of hands makes all the difference!

**To everyone who came out and helped today, THANK YOU!** 🙌 Farms like ours take a lot of hard work, a lot of hands, and a whole lot of heart. We're grateful for every person who helps make this dream a reality.

🐥🌱 **THE CHICKS ARE GROWING… AND SO IS THEIR NEW HOME!** 🌱🐥

Our baby chicks are growing **fast!** It seems like every single day they’re a little bigger, a little more adventurous, and definitely a LOT more curious! 😂🐔

While we wait for these little ones to grow into our future laying hens, we’ve been busy working on something just as exciting—their **new free-range area!** 🌿

We’re planting a mixture of **clover, rye, oats, wheat, and other grasses** to create a healthy, green space where they’ll eventually be able to scratch, peck, forage, and enjoy the outdoors the way chickens are meant to. 🌱🐓

Our goal is to give them plenty of room to roam while providing them with a natural environment full of things to explore.

Right now they may be small… but **they won’t be for long!** And we can’t wait to open the door and watch them discover their new pasture. ❤️

🧄🧅 **ANOTHER BIG DAY OF PLANTING AT THIS OLD BARN!** 🧅🧄

Today we were back at it in the garden, getting even more crops in the ground for next season! 🌱

🥕 **444 more candy onions planted!**
🧄 **948 garlic cloves planted across several varieties!**

That brings us to **well over 1,000 onions and garlic planted** as we continue preparing for an amazing spring and summer growing season.

There’s something pretty special about looking down a row of freshly planted cloves and bulbs knowing that underneath that soil is the beginning of something we’ll eventually bring right back to our customers at the **Franklin Farmers Market and This Old Barn**. ❤️

The garlic and onions will spend the winter establishing their roots, then when spring arrives, they’ll wake back up and really take off! 🌱

We absolutely love watching this process—from preparing the soil, to planting, to that first little bit of green breaking through the ground, all the way to harvest.

**A lot of work goes into growing your food before it ever makes it to the market table—and we wouldn't have it any other way!** 🚜❤️

🥩🐖 **TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY AT THIS OLD BARN!** 🐖🥩

Today we made a trip to the butcher to pick up a whole load of **beef and pork** that they’ve been busy processing for us.

We brought it home and spent the afternoon **filling pickup orders for our customers**! 🥩🥓🍖

There’s just something pretty special about seeing those freezers fill up and knowing that these orders are headed to families who choose to buy their meat from a local farm. ❤️

**Pickup orders were filled today, and tomorrow we start making deliveries!** 🚚
